17th Annual Silent Auction

Bring Your Bucks to the 78th Annual El Presidente Party

Spur

Silent Auction Date: April 7, 2025

One of the great additions to our beloved Sunday evening El Presidente Party was the introduction, 17 years ago, of the DC Silent Auction.

Hundreds of cowboys and cowgirls gather at Wickenburg’s famous RANCHO DE LOS CABALLEROS for our annual western gala the night before we parade out of town. For a lot of folks, this is the biggest party during a week’s worth of parties. It’s a very special social event, an opportunity to pick up some memorabilia, gifts, and gear, and to support the Ride.

Run by Don Lawson, Ken Loyst and a hardy gang of DC volunteers, the Silent Auction regularly raises north of $14,000 from the sale of 100-plus western items that are on display.

The DC Ride makes a donation to the Desert Caballeros Western Museum for the use of the Boyd Ranch and uses the rest of the auction funds to defray Ride expenses and keep riders’ dues from increasing… while enhancing the quality of the Ride at the same time.

The best part? All the fun we have bidding on these great western items.
